Event-Specific Policies & Code of Conduct

1. Code of Conduct

Purpose

To ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all SheBuilds on Lovable participants, aligning with our mission to empower women in tech.

Expectations

• Respect and Inclusion: Treat all participants, organizers, mentors, and partners with respect, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, disability, or experience level. Harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior (e.g., sexist remarks, intimidation) is prohibited.
• Collaboration: Share knowledge constructively and credit teammates for contributions.
• Safety: Report unsafe conditions or violations to privacy@lovable.dev immediately.
• Compliance: Follow event rules, including submission deadlines and project guidelines.

Participant Pledge

• Agreement: By participating, I commit to upholding the SheBuilds on Lovable Code of Conduct, fostering a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment for all.
• Enforcement: Violations may result in warnings, event removal, or bans from future Lovable programs, at organizers' discretion.

2. Privacy Policy Addendum

Event-Specific Data Collection

• Personal Information: First Name, Last Name, Email Address Used for Your Lovable Account, Phone Number, City, Country, Timezone, and Confirmation that I am a woman/identify.
• Background, Skills and Logistics: Technical Skills, Discord Username, Personal Website/Portfolio Link, LinkedIn Profile and T-shirt Size.
• Hackathon Questions: Why do you want to participate, What would you like to build, Category, How do you plan to participate.

How We Use Data

• Event Management: To register participants, form teams, assign mentors, and coordinate schedules.
• Communication: To send event updates, schedules, or optional marketing for future Lovable programs.
• Improvement: To analyze anonymized engagement data for enhancing future hackathons.

Legal Basis

Consent (e.g., registration opt-ins), legitimate interests (e.g., event operations), and legal obligations (e.g., record-keeping for prizes).

Data Sharing

• Internal: With Lovable staff and event organizers for coordination.
• External: Anonymized profiles (e.g., skills, project summaries) may be shared with mentors or partners for matchmaking or prize allocation, with consent.
• No Sale: No data is "sold" under CCPA definitions.

Data Retention

• Personal data is deleted 6 months post-event unless you opt-in for future engagement (e.g., alumni networks).
• Anonymized data may be retained for analytics.

Your Rights

• Access, correct, or delete your data; withdraw consent; or opt-out of marketing via privacy@lovable.dev.
• EU/CA residents: GDPR/CCPA rights (e.g., portability, "Do Not Sell") apply.

3. Terms of Service Addendum

Eligibility

Open to women-identifying individuals, 18+.

Participation Rules

• Adhere to the Code of Conduct and event guidelines (e.g., submission formats).
• Submit original work; plagiarism results in disqualification.

Intellectual Property (IP)

• Participants retain project ownership but grant Lovable a non-exclusive, royalty-free license for promotional use (e.g., website, social media).
• Mentors/partners claim no ownership unless explicitly agreed (e.g., for mentorship follow-ups).

Prizes

• Credits and mentorship are non-transferable, with no cash value.
• Winners are selected based on innovation, feasibility, and theme alignment, per organizer discretion.

Liability

Lovable is not liable for event-related risks (e.g., technical issues, minor injuries at venues), except where required by law.

4. Media Release Consent

Policy

• Lovable may capture photos/videos (e.g., virtual demos, in-person presentations) for promotion.
• Explicit opt-in consent is required during registration; opt-out is available.

Withdrawal

Revoke consent via privacy@lovable.dev; media is removed within 30 days.

5. Sponsorship & Mentorship Disclosure

Policy

• Anonymized data (e.g., team profiles) may be shared with mentors/partners for coordination, with opt-in consent during registration.
• No data "sale" occurs under CCPA.
